The Australian Koala series has been annually released by the Perth Mint since 2007. This 2020 dated high relief proof example represents the Mint’s first-ever koala coin with an incuse design!
This 2020-P Australian Koala coin is struck from 1 Troy oz. of .9999 fine silver.
The incuse, high relief coin features a spectacular proof finish.
The coin is a perfectly graded, authenticated First Day of Issue release.
Mintage is limited to only 5,000 pieces.
Exciting 2020 Koala Design
Obverse: The obverse features the likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, surrounded by the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II,” “AUSTRALIA” and “1 DOLLAR.” The Queen’s effigy is the work of Jody Clark, the first employee of The Royal Mint of Great Britain to execute a monarch coinage portrait in more than a century.
Reverse: The reverse depicts a single koala clinging to a nearly vertical tree branch. Inscriptions include “AUSTRALIAN KOALA,” “2020 1OZ 9999 SILVER” and the Perth Mint’s “P” in the right field area.
Flawless Proof 70 with Australia Flag Label
This 2020-P Australia 1 oz. Silver High Relief Incuse Koala proof coin was submitted to the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) for review and judged to be in perfectly struck Proof 70 Ultra Cameo (UC) condition. The silver dollar is encapsulated in a NGC protective holder with an Australian flag themed First Day of Issue certification label. The coin will ship with the original Perth Mint packaging and Certificate of Authenticity.
