The coin’s obverse features a design that is familiar to experienced collectors: Ian Rank-Broadley’s right-side portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Rank-Broadley shows the monarch wearing a tiara. Her name, “ELIZABETH II,” joins “NIUE,” “TWO DOLLARS,” and “2015” on the rim.
On the reverse, Thor, one of Marvel’s most recognizable characters, wields his famous hammer. The Marvel logo is set to the right in the colorized image. “MIGHTY THOR” and “2015” are inscribed along the rim.
